About Currently Kootenay

I started my career in the electrical trade when I was 25, and since my second year of schooling I have been working towards becoming an Electrical Instructor in BC. I have lived in dozens of places throughout British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario over the years, but if there's one thing I've learned it's that the Kootenays are my home.

Throughout my years of experience I have worked in industrial, commercial and residential settings throughout four provinces. I've seen the beauty of being 50' in the air on a high line running cable at sunrise, as well as the silent darkness of working 5300' underground in a lightless gold mine.

This blog is intended to share some of those experiences in addition to the lessons and challenges I have overcome during the course of my ten years in the trade. You will also find articles regarding a few of my studies in the area of adult education and learning practices.

I welcome everyone to have a safe space to create, share and enjoy together. Harassment and bullying will not be tolerated.
